After interest rates rising for a couple of years, they’re finally falling. The Federal Reserve voted on Dec. 18 to decrease its target range for the federal funds rate. The decrease of 0.25 percentage point follows the 0.25-point drop in November and the 0.5-point drop in September, which was the first cut since 2020.
